MND today announces that the Peak snow-making machine, designed by its subsidiary SUFAG, has been ranked No. 1 in a benchmarking of leading snow-making companies carried out in Russia.
The tests were carried out during the “Ski resort design, construction and operation” conference organised by Ski Resort Consult at the Golden Valley ski resort, near Saint Petersburg, from 18 to 21 January 2016.
To ensure accurate results, a strict procedure for measuring the performance, energy consumption and snow quality of the equipment was established, while data was recorded using fine-tuned measuring apparatus.
In recognition of its superiority, the SUFAG Peak snow-making system was awarded first place in the overall rankings:
- The Peak is way ahead of the competition in terms of energy efficiency: based on the amount of water transformed into snow per kWh, the Peak snow-making machine was found to be at least 15% more productive than the competition, and up to 50% more productive than the most energy-consuming products.
- In terms of snow-making capacity, based on the volume of water transformed into snow per hour of operation, the SUFAG product again significantly outperformed its rivals, even when compared to the more powerful ones: snow production was found to be 15-25% greater than that of competing snow-making system.
The victory reflects the success of this efficient, hard-wearing and economical product, recognised the world over. SUFAG had already been awarded first place for energy efficiency two years ago.
